Central New Jersey Educator Nominated for National LifeChanger of the Year Award
Millstone Middle School Principal Dr. Trish Bogusz has been nominated for the 2022-23 National LifeChanger of the Year award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence and leadership.
Bogusz was nominated by her school counselor, Lindsay Perine, for empowering her staff and students at Millstone Middle School to believe in their capabilities. Her nomination was supported by multiple parents and member of the community. “She is a force of nature with her positive attitude and endless energy and enthusiasm,” commented Amy Jacobson, a parent of a student. “She has been such a gift to my children, mentoring my daughter as she begins her career in education and supporting and investing in the futures of my sons.”
Bogusz makes time to be present in hallways where she can connect with her colleagues and students. Bogusz makes everyone feel seen and heard by showing genuine interest in every individual she is met with and never neglects the needs of her community.
Bogusz strives to keep a positive attitude and hopes no one leaves a school day without feeling that there is someone who understands and cares for them.
“Dr. Boguz’s passion and dedication to education is only matched by her commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for students, staff and parents. She has become so much more than an educator to many of her students, impacting their lives in consequential and powerful ways.” said Jacobson.
