Christine Cuoco is a Licensed Funeral Director in New Jersey with over 22 years of experience in the funeral service profession and she is dedicated to serving families locally and throughout the state. Christine was born and raised in North Brunswick, NJ, and pursued her funeral service education in 2001 at the prestigious American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City. Prior to her education in funeral services, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Law & Justice from Rider University.
Christine’s professional journey began as an intern at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home in Princeton, NJ, where she connected deeply with the local communities. She later worked at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home in Cedar Grove, NJ, for over a decade. In 2015, Christine decided to open her own funeral home and is proud to be the owner and manager of Ruby Memorial in North Brunswick, NJ, where she continues to provide compassionate and personalized funeral services. She looks forward to maintaining services in her hometowns of North Brunswick and Jamesburg.
Christine’s approach is deeply rooted in her commitment to preserving the cultural, traditional, and social responses to death and loss. Her expertise in ceremonial details allows her to honor diverse cultural practices, offering families a respectful, meaningful way to say goodbye to their loved ones. Her work embodies a genuine dedication to helping others through one of life’s most challenging times, demonstrating both professional skill and heartfelt compassion.
Christine is an active member of several professional organizations within the funeral service industry and beyond. She is a member of the Academy of Funeral Service Practice, the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association (NJSFDA), and the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA). Christine also served as the Past President of the Essex, Union, and West Hudson Funeral Directors Association, a district of the NJSFDA.
In addition to her work in funeral service, Christine is deeply involved in her community and other professional networks. She is a Charter Member and active member of the Princeton Lions Club, and also active member and Past President of the Plainsboro, North & South Brunswick Rotary Club. Her commitment to education is reflected in her role as professor at Mercer County Community College’s Funeral Service Program, where she has been teaching since 2014. Christine’s dedication to both her profession and community demonstrates her leadership, service, and passion for helping others in various capacities.
Christine is proud to continue to carry on the traditions of service and caring taught to Greg & David Lester by their father, Stanley Lester. “Thoughtful, Personal, Dignified Service” has always been the hallmark of Lester Memorial Home.
